This tour is dedicated to the area of the city that tells us more about one of the essential periods in the History of Portugal – the Maritime Discoveries of the 15th and 16th centuries. It was at the mouth of the Tagus river, in the neighborhood that is now known as Belém, that the caravels coming from the new lands moored, bringing the most fascinating and exotic products. The Tower of Belém was the most important witness of all this period. Let's discover its stories and history but also take a good look at the surroundings of the tower.
